Mone Apps

Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Mone Apps LLC ("Mone Apps", "we", "us") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use our website at moneapps.com and our mobile applications (collectively, the "Services").

1. Scope and Controller

The data controller is Mone Apps LLC, 169 Madison Ave, STE 11534 Unit 344, New York, NY 10016. You can reach us at contact@moneapps.com.

2. Categories of Data We Process

  • Account data — email, username, authentication tokens when an account is created.
  • Content data — photos, prompts, chat messages and other content you choose to provide to a Service feature.
  • Support data — messages and attachments you send to support.
  • Technical and usage data — device model, OS version, IP address, in-app events, crash and diagnostic logs.
  • Billing data — purchases and subscription state received from Apple or our subscription processor (we do not see your full payment card details).

3. Purposes and Legal Bases

We process personal data to provide and improve the Services (contract performance), to secure them and prevent abuse (legitimate interest), to comply with legal obligations, and — where required — on the basis of your consent (for example for personalized advertising). You can withdraw consent at any time.

4. AI Processing

Some features rely on artificial intelligence — for instance image editing or content generation. Where these features process face attributes, we use non-biometric color and structural cues only; we do not derive biometric templates and we do not use your content to train third-party foundation models.

5. Face Data — Selfies in the Solia “Tan Scan” Feature

Solia includes an optional Tan Scanfeature in which you can take selfies inside the app to visually track tanning progress over time. Because selfies contain an image of your face, this section describes — in the format and depth required by Apple App Store Review Guideline 2.1 / 5.1.1 — exactly what data is collected, how it is used, with whom it is shared, and how long it is kept.

5.1 What face data the app collects

The only face-related data Solia collects is the selfie photograph itself that you intentionally capture using the in-app camera. Solia does not create or store any of the following:

  • facial-recognition templates or embeddings,
  • biometric identifiers (e.g. FaceID-style depth maps, facial-landmark vectors),
  • any data that could uniquely identify a person from their face.

From each selfie we derive only a small set of average color values sampled from a region of the image. These color values are numeric (RGB / Lab) and cannot be used to recognize or identify an individual.

5.2 How the collected face data is used

The selfie and the derived color values are used solely for the following purposes, all of which run locally on your device:

  • displaying your selfies in the Tan Scan history so you can compare them visually,
  • plotting a per-session skin-tone trend chart from the derived color values,
  • letting Solia adjust on-device sun-exposure recommendations based on the trend.

We do not use face data for advertising, profiling, identity verification, age estimation, training machine-learning models, or any purpose other than the ones listed above.

5.3 Sharing of face data with third parties, and where it is stored

Solia does not share selfies or any data derived from them with any third party. Selfies are never transmitted to Mone Apps's servers, never sent to RevenueCat, Apple, Google, Meta, our analytics processors, or any other third party. There is no server-side copy.

Selfies are stored exclusively on your device, in two possible locations that you control:

  • The Solia app sandbox, which is private to the app and not visible to other applications. This is the default storage location.
  • Your own Photos library, only if you explicitly tap “Save to Photos” for a given selfie. In that case the copy lives in your Apple Photos and follows iOS's standard Photos privacy controls.

5.4 How long face data is retained

Because Solia keeps no server-side copy, the retention period is determined entirely by you. A selfie remains on your device until one of the following happens:

  • you delete it from inside Solia (Tan Scan history → swipe → Delete),
  • you revoke Photos access for Solia in iOS Settings (deletes saved-Photos copies),
  • you delete the Solia app, which removes the entire app sandbox.

The derived color values are stored next to the selfie in the app's local database and follow the same retention and deletion rules — deleting a selfie also deletes its color values.

5.5 Your controls

You can deny camera access entirely at first prompt, revoke it later in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Solia, and individually delete selfies and progress entries at any time from within the Tan Scan history. Because no copy ever leaves your device, deletion on your device is final.

6. Health Data (HealthKit)

With your permission, Solia reads and writes selected categories from Apple Health — primarily vitamin D and UV exposure — to keep your goals in sync with the rest of your health record. HealthKit data is processed on your device by iOS; we do not store HealthKit values on our servers and we do not use HealthKit data for advertising.

7. Location

When you allow location access, our apps may share approximate or precise coordinates with the public UV index provider (Open-Meteo) solely to fetch the current and forecasted UV index for your location. Coordinates are not persisted on our servers.

8. Sharing and Processors

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with processors who help us operate the Services — for example cloud infrastructure, crash analytics, subscription management (RevenueCat), and payment processing through Apple. Processors are bound by contract to use your data only on our instructions.

9. International Transfers

Personal data may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect your data during international transfers.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this policy. Account data is retained while your account is active. Local content stored on your device follows the rules described in the relevant section above. Support communications are retained for a limited period after the issue is resolved.

11. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data. Email contact@moneapps.com and we will respond within the timeframes required by law.

12. Cookies and Analytics

Our website uses a minimal set of cookies for essential operations and aggregated analytics. You can control cookies via your browser settings.

13. Data Security

We apply technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. If we learn we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verified parental consent, we will delete it.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and, where the changes are material, provide additional notice.
